How to export a Microsoft Planner Plan to Excel
If you use Microsoft Planner to manage projects or team tasks, here’s a handy tip, you can export your plan straight into Excel.
This opens the door to easier ways to analyse your information and sharing the plan to people who may not be directly involved in the day to day of the project or are outside the organisation. It also lets you archive project information for future reference or auditing.
How to export your plan
- Open your Planner plan
- Select the menu by the planner name
- Click Export plan to Excel
- Open your downloaded .xlsx file and customise it as needed
This is also a very handy way to create a backup of your plan.
