How to use the new Copilot Mode Selector?

Have you noticed the new Copilot Mode Selector?

Microsoft 365 Copilot users can now use mode selector to choose how much reasoning Copilot uses when responding.

Choose the mode that suits your task:
-Auto (Default): Copilot decides how long to think. A balanced choice for most work.
-Quick Response: Answers immediately, prioritising speed over depth. Perfect for simple, fast queries.
-Think Deeper: Spends more time reasoning to deliver comprehensive, thoughtful answers. Ideal for complex tasks.

With GPT‑5 now the default model, this gives you the flexibility to pick speed or depth depending on what you need to get done.
