One of the first questions people ask about Copilot Cowork isn't about AI at all. It's, "How much is this going to cost us?"!

Unlike Copilot Chat, which comes with your M365 license, Cowork sits on top of it and runs on a consumption model. Every task uses Copilot Credits, and just like fuel in a company vehicle, you need to understand what consumes it and how to manage it.

A better question to ask is: "What work is worth spending credits on?"

Start by understanding how work actually gets done, where the friction sits, and where AI or automation can make it simpler, faster and more consistent.

One of the easiest ways is to ask people what they don't enjoy doing in their day; the repetitive, fiddly or draining tasks are often exactly where Cowork could be a good option to help.

Get that right, people will be delighted! They can then spend their time on what matters most and makes the biggest difference to delivering a great employee or customer experience.
