Did you know you can join a Microsoft Teams meeting without a Microsoft 365 account?
Here’s how it works:
-When creating a meeting, choose 'Virtual appointment'
-Guests can join via the web and enter through a tailored lobby
-No Microsoft 365 or Teams account needed
From the guest’s perspective:
-They receive the invite in their personal inbox (Gmail, for example)
-They can join in the browser or the Teams app if it’s installed
They can choose to:
-Sign in with a different account
-Or join without signing in
If you’re running sessions with people who don’t live in Microsoft 365 every day, this feature removes a big barrier to joining.
