Microsoft List Templates are so versatile - there are options for Content scheduling, Asset Management, Employee Onboarding and so much more. You can also capture an Excel sheet and transform it into a List.

Lists have additional benefits that Excel can't offer - they can be used to trigger workflows and send Tasks, as well as being a data source for Power BI and other Power Apps.
